The brainchild of Barrie Swain, the SemiFlex Saddle has been developed from an original concept that dates back to the Victorian era when standards of workmanship were exceptionally high and the comfort of the horse paramount. Barrie is the only practicing saddle maker today whose skills and knowledge were born under the tutelage of a Master Saddler who trained in Queen Victoria's lifetime. Saddles of this type and quality have not enjoyed popularity since that time due to compromises required in design and workmanship in the modern age of mass production.
